WHO WE ARE

Landscapes built to last. Gardens designed to live in.

Greenleaf Garden Design is an Austin-based residential landscaping and garden design studio founded in 2015 by Marcus Webb. We specialise in creating outdoor spaces that are beautiful, functional, and adapted to the Texas climate — which means we take water seriously and we don't pretend that a lawn is always the right answer.

Marcus spent eight years working for a large commercial landscaping firm before deciding he wanted to work at a scale where he could actually know his clients. Greenleaf started as a one-man operation with a truck, a set of hand tools, and a waiting list of referrals. Today we're a team of seven, and most of our new business still comes through word of mouth.

We work exclusively on residential projects in the Austin metro area. We don't take on commercial work, HOA contracts, or large-scale sports turf. This focus means we're genuinely good at what we do.

Our Values

Regional honesty

We won't sell you a plant that won't survive an Austin summer. Our designs are built around what actually grows here.

Water is not free

Every design we produce includes an irrigation assessment. We look for opportunities to reduce water consumption without sacrificing the quality of the garden.

Know your site

Before we design anything, we spend time on-site understanding soil, sun, drainage, and how the space is actually used. Good design starts with listening.

No greenwashing

Calling a garden "sustainable" is easy. We'd rather just show you the water bill.

Austin Climate Expertise

Central Texas has hot summers, unpredictable rainfall, and clay-heavy soils that most plants find inhospitable. Our plant palette is built around natives and adapted species that genuinely thrive here: Texas sage, agaves, muhly grass, Mexican plum, possumhaw holly, and hundreds more.

We avoid plants we know won't survive our summers. Bermudagrass needs 1–1.5 inches of water per week during summer. Our native meadow designs typically need 40% less. That's not just better for the environment — it's a meaningful difference in your water bill.
